I took on this recent portrait painting commission for a close friend from the past her name is Whitney. She and her finance, Tisha, are recently engaged and she wanted to surprise her with something for Valentines Day. I received this commission around the first week of January and completed the piece around the last week of February. I had a great time working on this piece and this was also my first black and white portrait. I was working from a photo booth print out, as you could imagine it is very small (I will have a reference down below.) When painting, I mainly focus on realistic lifestyle renderings.
